Cellulite Exercises and Myths
If you have decided to attack your cellulite through exercise, congratulations! This is definitely the cheapest way to fight cellulite, as well as one of the most effective. Personally, I believe a combination of cellulite exercises with a daily application of a cellulite lotion is the best way to fight cellulite without making a big dent in your wallet. Even though this is the case, a lot of people go about it the wrong way, and ultimately see no results from their efforts. Here are some myths about each type of cellulite exercise that should help clarify how it all works.
MYTH #1
AEROBIC EXERCISE IS MORE EFFECTIVE THAN WEIGHT LIFTING FOR LOSING FAT
As far as exercises to get rid of cellulite, the best way to do so is to develop lean muscle, and this will help you burn more calories in the long run. This is because the more muscle mass you have, the more calories burn automatically when you are not exercising. This is why people who are lean tend to remain lean so easily; it’s essentially a snowball effect. The more lean muscle you develop, the more fat you burn automatically, and so the more lean you become. That is why the primary focus of your exercises should be weight lifting exercises instead of aerobic ones. You should develop a routine at a gym where you do muscle specific exercises. This will be much more effective than something like jogging as an exercise to get rid of cellulite.

Note: There is nothing wrong with aerobic exercise or other exercises such as yoga, supreme pilates, pilates chair exercises, etc., and I definitely encourage them (especially versus doing nothing at all). However, if you are going to go running anyway, I would recommend doing a series of sprints instead of one long jog. Then the primary focus of the exercise shifts from weight loss to muscle gain. Overall, however, the best thing to do is a combination of both aerobic exercise and weight lifting.
MYTH #2
IF I DO WEIGHT LIFTING I WILL BECOME BULKY LIKE A MAN

Lifting weights only makes men look bulky and not women. The one and only reason: testosterone. Men have way more testosterone than women do, and for that simple fact, men get big muscles and women don’t. Women, trust me on this! No matter how many weights you lift, repetitions you do, etc., you will never get bulky muscles, so get that idea out of your head! Some of the leanest women in the world got that way through weight lifting.
MYTH #3
SPOT REDUCTION IS POSSIBLE
Spot reduction is the belief that you can eliminate fat from specific parts of your body through certain exercises. This is simply untrue. Exercise to reduce cellulite are effective because they reduce fat throughout your entire body evenly when you exercise. In other words, even if you only exercise your abs, that doesn’t mean more fat from your abs will burn off. That is why in this article I’m not suggesting doing only squats and stair master exercise to fight cellulite (although they are important exercises). I suggest you workout each part of your body equally. Not only is this much healthier on the long run (by keeping your body toned evenly throughout), exercising each part of your body consistently will also ensure that you are working out consistently.
If you understand why each of these three myths is false, you can develop an exercises for cellulite routine that will get you ACTUAL results, and hopefully get you one step closer to eliminating your cellulite completely. Combine that routine with a top-quality cellulite lotion that works for you, and you should start to see noticeable results real soon!
